My newest acquisition, arrived with me yesterday. When originally built this must have been a somewhat special build. Burred walnut dash with an inlaid M and I suspect beautifully polished. From that I guess you will have realised that it's no longer like that. I will be attempting to get it back to as nice as I can.
The files of information, receipts for original build and such are extensive, and extremely useful.
It was first MOT tested in September of 1986 and registered shortly after. The panel under the bonnet show that the owner of the time was proudly displaying it at shows. I personally, am not a great fan of shows, so it's not likely that it will attend many, plan is to use it as a driver. Sadly the paint is not great, ideally it would have a respray of, at least, the wings which have little dots of where the top coat has detached from the undercoat, like micro blisters that have blown.
Anyway, I am back into ownership of a "Red sports car" very similar to the second car I owned in NZ in 1967.
