I think I found out why the power was going out on my Roadster. The windscreen washer bottle was leaking around the pump and bolted above the starter solenoid which is also where the main power feed comes off. So I'm guessing/hoping that this was where the short was, simply water on the road grime encrusted parts.
So removed the bottle, replaced with a small one from Car Builder Solutions, fixed away from the wiring/solenoid! All attached to the existing wiring and squirter tubes, I may replace these with the new cables and washers in the kit as there are two double outlet squirters, which would be an improvement.
