    Cabrio suspension

Do I need to 'contain' the coil spring /damper unit while removing it from the car as a unit or can I simply remove the upper and lower mounting bolts. If spring compressors are needed I can't see how they would fit between the coils.
Sorry for what may seem a silly question, but just can't get my head round this!

Hello Alan. Yes they can be removed as a unit, as the lower adjustement screw holds the spring onto the damper. You only need compressosrs when you are making up the unit assmbly. IE dont undo the lower adjusting screwed flange!
