I had suggested that a new thermostat might be a good idea as we did not know when was fitted so yesterday in Derby we called at Midland Car Parts and purchased one off the shelf for ?4.39.
Doug fitted it this morning and made the discovery that there was not one fitted so no wonder it was never totally happy when running.
Having been out for a spin this afternoon the Berli seems much more responsive and there is even heat in the heater pipes so I am really chuffed. Hopefully now it will not get too hot in warmer weather and need the extra fan fitting back on!
