Re: Rear spring mounts
High merv, The inner end fo the front bolt is a nut that sits down tight on the flange that holds the floor. When I changed mine I managed to undo the bolt and leave the nut in place I stopped the nut turning by wedging a large screwdriver between the floor and side of nut. If someone was thinking ahead they may have tack welded the nut in place when building the car. I dont know where you you will get the replacement bushes for the spring from unless Superflex or Polybush do them.Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!

Re: Rear spring mounts
Hi Merv
Strangely I could just get a slim spanner on the drivers side down the side of the seat but on the passengers side it was too tight. I had to take the seat out but once that was done it was dead easyBMW E30 Sportster 2005 - M20B28 - Build Log and Updates http://www.msportster.co.uk/

Re: Rear spring mounts
Hi again, the job is done new bushes from superflex (near ?100) all fairly easy except that some fool had put the front bolts in from the inside so the angle grinder came in to play, cut each side of the spring, then replaced with new bolts the right way round, thanks for the comments, it is always usefull to have another view.
