I am considering changing my 1800B series engine for a 1600 Ford crossflow engine. I looked at a Marlin with this engine fitted yesterday; the engine appeared to be mounted with standard mounts onto the A series (back) engine mounting points. There was a very thin angled bracket that bolted between the chassis mount and the flexible engine mount. Was this how Marlin intended it to fit? Has anybody got any of these if they were standard?
Also what sort of modifications are required to the transmission tunnel in order to fit a type 9 5 speed gearbox.
thanks in advance for any advice received.
