Q reg Historic status

Have just seen this posted on Facebook, may help all those that are on Q Plates to get historic status.

especially this statement

• Those vehicles registered on a Q plate, as kits or built up classics are not entitled to be declared as VHIs until forty years after they were registered.

I thought that should be the case. Unfortunately Gwynevere isn't 40 for another 8 years.
