After some frustrating old pain reaction on the rear pieces, a sand-down and respray is underway.
This car painting endeavour is a steep learning curve with plenty of opportunities for user error!
If anyone is interested, the YouTube channel "the paint society" with Brian T is superb.Attached Files- 20230716_141545.jpg (1.54 MB, 40 views)

And.....done!
Just rear arches to do when finished at the bodywork shop.
Paint/process used:
* final sanding using 600 grit, dry.
*1 light & 2x normal coats of AzkoNobel Dynacoat 2K epoxy primer (1L)
* 1 light & 2x normal coats 1K ready to use black base (ebay, 1L)
* 1x light, 1x normal coats Midnight Megashift Pearl from CoolCustomz. 1K, 750ml,
* 1x light, 2x normal Kapci 2K Clearcoat HS (6030). Allowed a little extra time for solvent flash as it can find it tough to evaporate through HS clear. The extra coat is for peace of mind when sanding (if required).
All sprayed on a DIY garage paint room on a Iwata Kiwami 4 1.3 gun using a 200L Clarke industrial air compressor (14cfm/150psi) with at gun pressures advised by coating manufacturers. 20230827_155357.jpgAttached Files
