    wheel nuts

What size are the wheel nuts on a Marina 1.8TC based Roadster? The only ones that I can find are M12 and these are too big. The taper is 60 degrees which appears to be standard. Are MGB wheel nuts the same as Marina ones? I want to replace the scruffy-looking nuts on the Compomotive alloys.

The thread of a Marina/Ital wheel stud is 3/8" UNF x 24 TPI.
The correct nuts for steel wheels are widely available on Ebay from the classic car people.
For "posh" ones for alloy wheels you will probably have to go to an alloy wheel specialist.

I think Compomotives from that period had steel inserts so it would be worth checking before you buy.

I have the compomotive cx alloys which do have steel inserts with a taper. After a lot of research . I used UNF stainless wheel nuts that are for a classic Mini. The engineering company that made them were on ebay but last year they were not listing stuff. It was approx £35 for 16 wheel nuts

Thanks for that. TRS have also advised using the classic Mini wheel nuts with the CC Compomotives, so I'll be ordering some of those.

The TRS wheel nuts are zinc plated so may start corroding again in 2-3 years time. Ideally stainless wheel nuts are the best because they won't ever rust.

I have gone back through my paperwork (I purchased mine in 2017) and if you contact [email protected] and ask him for the current price for making you the following

"Wheel Nuts set of 16 Stainless Steel 3/8 UNF 60° Taper Mini P2366 "

                Here is their web address.:
Illston & Robson are Europe’s leading manufacturer of airline couplings and linkages, based in the heart of Birmingham, England since 1908.

Their phone number is also within. After experiencing alternatives over the years that quickly corroded I made the decision to pay extra for Stainless Steel and have not regretted it, by 2014 they had sold over 4500 sets image.png.

I hope the above info will be of value to all reading
