Hi Folks. My recently purchased Berlinetta seems to be a very hard ride. It's a cortina based one and am wondering if it is possible to fit longer softer springs to improve comfort levels. Any ideas welcomed, Cheers, Alan.

this subject is well documented in the archives . Briefly, the problem exists due to the springs being cut down in length to get the required ride height which increases the poundage hence harder ride. Burton power use to do Cortina springs in standard, minus 1 and minus 2 inch lengths - maybe they still do. Search facility is your friend !

I've had specialist springs made for my in the past by SpringCoil in Sheffield; not for my Berli though, which has the original setup from the guy who built the car; I've added a couple of doughnut spacers to raise the ride height a bit.

Hi Folks. Being a new member I can't seem to find out how to access the archives on this site. Am trying to sort out spring rates and adjustable damper settings for my Berlinetta. Has anyone fitted progessive springs etc and what is the best setup for comfort. Running standard 2L pinto. Cheers, Alan.

Little box at top of page right hand side - search. Just type in there what you're looking for and click and it'll take you to all the questions /answers on that subject. With regards to progressive springs , if you find somewhere that does them can you post on here please.
