Vinyl Paint

I'm not sure that this is the right place to ask the question, but has anyone successfully recoloured their seats or similar with fabric paint?

I have tan coloured vinyl seats, and I would like them to be a darker shade of brown. Before I go to the expense of having them retrimmed, I am wondering if it is worth trying to paint them.

I tend to be sceptical about claims made for these products, but fabric paints are well reported on the net, and the hood paint and waterproofer that I used exceeded expectations, so is it worth a try?

I've just repaired /recoloured a panel on my TVR leather seats. I could have sent a sample to be matched but chose to have a go myself. Got to say , very pleased with the result with a kit from Furniture Clinic. Check out there website as they may do stuff for vinyl as well as leather
