Best Paint and also adhesive for Windscreen

I am about to put the windscreen in my Cabrio and need to paint the lower part of the screen in black paint. The build manual says 'use windscreen paint' but this appears to be a bit like finding hens teeth. What type of paint adheres well to glass? Is Plastikote spray suitable? Also any recommendations for the screen adhesive?

Sika flex to seal windscreen [ can usually be found at boat chandlers ] .I believe it can thinned down with white spirit so maybe use that as brushable paint.

I read somewhere that to paint on something shiny like glass you needed to use a simple gloss paint like Dulux gloss black. Admittedly that was back in the days when they made proper oil based paint. Today I would choose the brushing Rustoleum as that still smells like proper oil based paint? I am assuming that you need to paint the bottom and side insides of the screen, to hide the internal detail in those areas? Peter.

I think the kit that Jon has mentioned is likely to be what they use in most windscreen replacements these days , where the screen itself is structural

Thanks all for your input. I am about to experiment with various paints on a spare piece of glass. The local windscreen specialist also recommended Master Bond. I guess the difficulty is that although the Marlin screen is not structural it does require an adhesive, not a flexible sealant, in that it is not contained in a rubber seal.

I'm finding this topic a it strange. When I needed a new windscreen in my Cabrio in the Summer of 2019, the technicians cut and fitted the new glass on my drive. I don't recall any glass paint being involved and I didn't notice anything odd about the new windscreen in terms of reflections or being dazzled. I did paint the windscreen frame before the new glass went in as there was surface rust under the polished stainless cover....for that job I used Hammerite....for protection as the metal was going to e covered again.
