  • Door / wing mirrors

I will shortly be fitting the hood to DRL152K and I need to think about wing/door/etc. mirrors as part of the process.
Does anyone have any suggestions / recommendations for the best mirror position and type?
Looking at the gallery there seems to be a lot of options - some I guess better than others. I intend to drive the car regularly so need something practical rather than just chosen for appearance :-)

I had ones from YKC on mine that were fixed to windscreen frame via tapped hole . Did the job for me!

Yes - I have seen that many cars seem to have that arrangement. I don't suppose you know who made the mirrors?

Car Builder Solutions have similar mirrors. I use a pair with long arms that are attached to brackets on the front wings when towing our caravan.
They have a threaded end with a nut so with that removed, they would fit into a threaded hole in the windscreen frame. When screwed in they would need a washer of suitable thickness so that the arm ends up in the required position.

As a Berlinetta owner I just took a look int Roadster galery to find that most of them have no side mirrors…
For my cars I’v got Tex mirrors. A quick search for “Tex mirror” on eBay will give you a nice variety of them.

Had a look at my son's Roadster and they have Tex mirrors with the pattern number 746275 if that helps. Stalks have no markings so maybe YKC had these made.
