    Rover v8 engine mounts

Does anyone have a pair of engine mounts for the rover v8 into a sportster?

You may be lucky. But I think there is a good chance you will have to invent some.
Maybe somebody can post a picture of an existing installation to help? And I guess the Cabrio would also be the same.

Your lucky day Martin - this hoarder has a spare set of Marlin Rover V8 emgine mounts available!
They came off a Sportster, but appear to be the same as for the Cabrio, certainly on the o/s.
Email me if you are still looking for such mounts.

As far as I remember, the Cabrio uses standard V8 engine mounts, with the chassis brackets constructed to suit. Don't see any reason for the Sportster to be any different. If that is the case, then your best bet for replacement mounts would be a V8 specialist, eg RPi (Rover Parts international) or Rimmer Bros.

Yes David, the set of mounts I offered to the initiator of this thread came to me with an engine from a Sportster and certainly look to be the same as those on my Cabrio. They use standard L/R resilient mounts between them and the brackets welded to the chassis. (Rimmers offer the resilient components in both rubber or - more exoensive - polyurethane).
I have sent a PM to iaina111 and awaiting response - hoping they will see this!
              Best Regards All.
