Hi Folks. Have a Berlinetta and suspension seem incredibly hard. I built a Spartan years ago (1976) based on Triumph Herald parts and the suspension on that was perfect for a road car. As the Marlin is about the same weight as a spitfire/herald but uses Cortina suspension which weighs nearly twice the weight the springing is far too hard. Can anyone suggest springs that have the same sort of travel/length etc but a softer spring rate that will fit the front coilovers and the rear springs please. Cheers and a Happy Christmas to all, Alan.

Hi. Been trying to get into the club archives to see if any answers to this but keeps bouncing back as incorrect page! This club site is not easy to use. Ant suggestions of how to get to past posts on suspension spring rates etc much appreciated, Alan.

If you go to the Search box at the top of this page and type in Berlinetta springs several pages of information comes up. My Cortina based Berlinetta seemed quite soft on the suspension.
Our current Berlinetta is not so soft. Have you tried running your tyres at a lower pressure? We run at about 20 PSI on the front. A Berlinetta weighs about 950kg. Liz
