    YKC more suspension help

And so the rebuild of my YKC's suspension goes on and I have progressed from the back to front end. Here's a further plea for historic parts information - Has anyone got details of the rubber compression / topmount bushes used on YKC Roadster (I guess the same are also used on Romero and Julietta)? I also want to find the spec for the original front springs? The standard springs had been replaced by one of the past owners 100lbs/in rated 10.5" springs that had been screwed up so tight that they were nearly coilbound at rest. With AVO now out of business I have had replacement front struts made by GAZ and I'd like to minimise guesswork and trial & error with the spring rate and length. Thanks.

Try posting on Marlin Facebook site. That way you may get Steve Himsworth [ the man behind YKC] to see it. He posts occasionally on there.

Hi there agent leman could you get in touch as I suspect I too am about to embark on sorting my suspension on newly acquired YKC Romero, it has a see-saw feel if you turn the wheel, as if there's zero damping, just springs! Would like to talk to you about what you've had to do... so far.

Thanks for the advice about Facebook. I have resisted all pressure to sign up to Facebook for years however my YKC restoration may tip the balance ...hmm I will try to hold off for a bit longer!
