Hi. Obviously I don't know exactly what you want this item for, but SierrasRus, 07842703657, based in Gtr Manchester, may be able to help. If you're looking to power assist the steering on a Cabrio / Hunter, some Marlin people have utilised the Vauxhall Corsa electrical set up although reports of results are mixed, with some regretting loss of feel and very limited self centering. I've had two conversions carried out on Cabrio/Hunters, the first using a modified/ remanufactured Sierra column from in a kit supplied by Easysteer of Preston, the second essentially the same, but Easysteer carried out the conversion for me in April 2024. Both conversions work extremely well.

Thanks Bill, got your message (phone has been playing up), ill give you a call.

I looked at the Corsa B / Corsa C electric option combined with the Spanish made GPS auto speed/feel correction widget. Unfortunately, my underslung pedal box is absolutely in the way and cannot be adapted to allow space, hence looking at the other end of the column.

As many have said about power steering in general, it only really has benefits at low speed/manoeuvres (and it may force me back to the gym!)

Bob Jackson ? I think was the name of a member up in Cumbria who installed a Power steering rack to his Cabrio and regretted it due to over assistance at speed.

I have a 'quick rack' on my Cabrio and low speed manouvering was certainly a work out. On the advice of a fellow member, David Lewin, I changed my 13" steering wheel to a 14" and despite the small change it made a big difference. Still quite an effort when slow speed manouvering but I partly solved that by avoiding supermarket car parks!!

While it may be possible to fit a power steering rack, I think another reason for not having it was that there was no room for the associated pump. Hence why some tried the electrical route. Just make sure there is space before making a large financial outlay. Dave.
