Greetings all. My Berli has been off the road for about 10 years (yes, I know, shame on me) so slowly refurbishing it. My fuel tank arrangement is, I think, the classic build manual arrangement of an Escort panel van tank with the original Cortina Mk 5 donor fuel tank sender. I've just removed the sender to syphon out the old fuel and found that the soldering/brazing of the fuel pipes to the mounting plate has come adrift and the pipes move around (it has two pipes - send and return). The sender mounting plate is a bit corroded and I can't get the sender connection stud detached to access the pipes properly. So quite a bit of work to get it to a condition where a repair could even be attempted. I think I have two options - attempt the repair or source a new one. So my Q's are:
1. Does anyone have experience, advice to share etc. in doing the repair I've described?
2. Anyone know where I can source a replacement (there does seme to be an eBay vendor in Germany)?
For context I'm based in Perth, Australia but will be in the UK for a while this (UK) summer.
