I would think this is likely to be challenging. As a Q plate, by definition the car was built with parts from various sources...a single donor car could have retained the donor registration. Then there are the various possibilities of donor model... as there were Berlinettas built from mk 3m mk 4 and mk 5 Cortinas, and about 17 built from Sierra donor parts, of which there were several incarnations. I would suggest contacting the Club Archivist to ascertain whatever history of ownership of the car he may hold and then maybe speak to Danny Nelson who may be able to help, as his knowledge of the Berlinetta marque is legendary and encyclopaedic.
One clue could be the switchgear on the steering column. Mk 3 Cortinas had a single stalk, I believe, the Mk4 and 5 had two or three, on the left for headlamp flash, horn and indicators, and on the right one for lights and one for wipers....but the original builder may have had other ideas and moved some or all of these functions elsewhere. Good luck in your researches.
