    1300 clutch/slave

    Hi,
can anyone tell me if the 1300 marina slave clyinder is the same as the 1275 mg midget one?
also does anyone have a slave cylinder that might work on my car that they might sell?
also what fluid should I use? is it Dot 4 brake fluid?
    sorry to be a pain
    cheers

No its not the same as midget, try your local motor factor for either complete unit or you can get repair kit [new seals] if cylinder bore is ok .Correct on the fluid.JOIN THE CLUB!!!

Its proving hard to find a slave cylinder. It appears that the cylinder was exclusive to this model and BL did'nt use it on any other model, is this the case?
          Its interesting.
I've discovered that a new slave sylinder could cost me ?70! is this about right?

Is your's beyond fitting new seals? as that usually works in my experience. Yes It was only fitted to Marina /Ital.Try PASTPARTS on the web or a firm called J.E.M in Leicester on 01455 230626. Can't comment on the price you have been quoted, the last time I purchased a repair kit it was about ?8.Ap Lockeed used to manufacture the cylinder[they now go under the name of Delphi Lockheed or something similair, if all else fails you could try contacting them. Also Lee Hunter is breaking a car so he might be able to help, this is where being in the club is a big bonus! Have you tried Partco in Derby .You can contact me on Derby 753000 for Lee's e mail address

                    Jon
Have you taken the cylinder off the car?
Was the car off the road for the winter?
You say the cylinder is seized solid-can you push the rod back into the cylinder at all? Please give me a ring since if the answer to the last question is yes then the problem may be elsewhere
