    Scotland run

Is it true that Scotland midge season starts at the end of May / begining of June, and the area around Loch Lomond is particulary rife. Do we need to stock up on repellent or do you think the exhaust fumes will repel them.

Personally I prefer to imbibe a good amount of single malt, that way you tend not to notice them at all! Doesn't seem to work with the mossies in Alaska though .

My exhauts fumes repell humans. Do you think they would be enough? Alternatively, I have a 100cwt of lemongrass candles to burn in the evening. I am also reliably informed that we will be in the area before the midges. I will personally inform the informant if this is not the case and suggest a place they can hold a lemongrass candle.

The candle's seem a great idea if you wan't to advertise the fact that there's a party going on!,Don't forget that these are Scottish midges we are talking about!!!!
