Never despair, why not try buying a whole car there is ne on ebay you could watch and see what it goes for

Andrew,here is some information that might help: On introduction in April 1971, the Marina 1.8 had a 1798cc BMC 'B' series engine, but with a Triumph gearbox, (the same one the later M.G. Midget 1500 used.)

It depends what year your 1.8 engine and gearbox is?

I'll keep on looking to see if you can use another gearbox.
