Hello, I am working to get my Cortina based Berlinetta back on the road after a couple years of being layed up so that my other half can use as a daily commuter.
One of the things on my snag list is that the rubber hose from the fuel tank (escort mkII van?) to the flange of the chrome hinged filler cap has perished. Can people tell me what they used for this, a supplier, donor or something suitable to replace.
This is the 2nd time of replacing this hose for me. When my father built the car he used a hose from a kerosene filled towed sonar array used for detecting Russian nuclear submarines LOL. Few yers later I replaced with a hose from a racecar tuners and it cost me around ?40.00, and didn't last so do not want to go down that route again.
cheers
