  • Spax shock absorber bushes

I have just ordered and recieved a set of bushes from Super Flex SPF 0718-80 which I was reliably informed are for the Marina based Marlin to find the bushes and sleeves are not the same width as the originals. Anyone any ideas as to how I make them fit or indeed have I been sent hte wrong ones??

Spf 0718-80 are for Marina front, yes I know the Superflex site says Marlin ,Teal etc but you are using Triumph Spifire/herald rear shocks on the front[I hope!] so that's what you need to be looking under

Hi Alan. Yep your right and if you go on their Triumph Herald page they have the same number. The bush and the sleeve are still not the same width?? Curious. I have spoken to SuperFlex and they are looking into it now. I would be interested to know if anyone else has fitted SuperFlex bushes and sleeves and what was their experience.

        Hi Adrian
I wonder if they should be listed as 0718-80A as they are for the non rotaflex variant, which I believe was not offered on herald/spitfire but was on some gt6's and vittesse,so presumably the non rotaflex is more common across the various Triumph range and therefor the one used for the Marlin? I'm afraid it's all presumption on my part so I'll await the answer from Superflex!

Fitted superflex bushes to the front shocks on my Marlin a couple of years ago, part nos SPF 0718-80A. As Alan says, listed under Herald/Spitfire rear shocks. Don't remember there being any problems, so something's amiss!?

Jim/Alan, This may be the problem as I ordered the item without the 'A' on the end. I will have a word with Superflex again and see what they come up with. Many thanks again. Adrian

OK all, just to finish off the story. I rang Superflex and spoke to the man himself. He said that they were the right ones and that I should use some washers to pack it out to the correct width. I have done that and they work a treat. End of story. Many thanks to all for their help. P.S. the 'A' on the end of the part number denotes no sleeve supplied.
