    Circlip

    Message originally posted by: Worried
Having spotted a little rust on the circlip that locates the retaining spigot on the transverse locating bush on the off side I decided to replace it. However I seem to recall that when I looked at he prototype on the stand at the Kitcar show that the open end of the circlip faced the rear of the car. I have found it easier to replace it with the open end facing the front. will this affect the performance and security of the clip?

As long as the bifurcated ninge wheel does not lock it's spigot in reverse ratchet mode you might be OK. Watch out for MoT though!
