  • Pertronix (Aldon) ignitor electronic Ignition

Has anyone got any experience of the Pertronix (Aldon) Ignitor electronic ignition. I wish to use this on my Fiat Twin Cam as it currently runs points. I have been quoted by a company in USA $140 (£75) for the ignitor ignition and a chrome high power coil incuding P&P which seems like a bargain. I know the Triumph and VDub boys use them. Check out retrorides as they also do complete dizzy for A and B series.

HI, I have used the Aldon system on my 2ltr Pinto engine for the last 1000 miles and starts 1st time and helps with performance. set the gap to 25-30thou and follow the instructions and should be ok. The men at Burton say it is a better kit then the Lumenition system.

I have the ignitor on my 6 cyl Triumph for ages and it does improve the running.
