Yet another question. Brake caliper rubber seals are split, is this another generic Girling item ? Thanks again.

I believe the caliper is the same one as used on Dolomites, so try Rimmer bros. Give them a ring on 01522 568000. I have always found them to be very helpful.

Trevor, the dolomite part number is 520957 caliper repair kit.

Got kit for both sides plus pads (Marina) from my local auto factor for under £35. Shouldn't be difficult.

Thanks for the replies - gone for a refurbished caliper at £30 a side exchange as the cylinders are a bit "old" looking
