While the Sportster is off the road due to the wish bone issue I've decided to rebuild the engine.
In the process its getting a more aggressive cam and a 2.8 conversion. This involves using a crank from an M52B28 (non TU one from the younger models, the webs are too big on later models) M20B20 conrods (these are 130mm vs the B25 135mm). No other modifications are need other than a spacer at the front of the crank for the oil seal to sit on. This makes the engine square (84mm bore, 84mm stroke!)
Electronics will be replaced with Megasquirt.
