Hi Mike.

Reading one of your posts above, it seems like you had a slightly dodgy column ignition switch too! Whereas mine didn't make a perfect resistance-free connection to allow clean starting, yours appears to have maintained some form of electrical connection AFTER being switched off!

Blimey, I wonder how many dodgy Cortina ignition switches are out there?!
