Ignition Wiring

I am supposed to be an electrical engineer, however I am in big trouble on the ignition wiring for my Sportster with E30 2.5 litre straigt six BMW engine. I have no wiring loom beyond the engine plug and a variety of wiring diagrams which point me in oposite directions.
Can anyone help with where to connect the engine plug? Signed desperate Graham

I created a document for this but to make sense of it you will need, and I recommend that you use anyway, the car side of the engine plug.

I\'ve put together the following table. The table has the pin number, colour of the wires (this may vary depending on age of car) and purpose of pin.

Not all of these items are required, eg the Active Check control / oil level sensor.
