I've been told that Ford Escort MK1/2 will do the job, try Ford rally sport outlets as they do the longer version you require

Tim, if you can't find Ford u-bolts locally try ebay item 260245390341. Are there any other compatible u-bolts ?
Landrover u-bolts look quite long.

Thanks guys. No sooner had I posted this question, a bit of phoning around put me through to FRM Ltd. who were able to help. A set of Marina bolts is, hopefully, on its way.
Will now post a request for where to find Spax adjustable shocks for front suspension.

For future reference with regard this problem as this is not the first time it has been posted, GRAYSTON supply both the bolts on their own or the complete lowering kit. Many motorfactors will be able to source this. If not then http://www.graystonengineering.com/suspensionpage.htm

Grayston were completely un-helpful when I phoned them. Totally disinterested. They even denied that the Escort ones would work.

I bought 2 pairs about 2yrs ago from Demon Tweeks. Grayston GE26's. Just about to fit them if I can get hold of some new shocker plates (see my thread above). Pete

Well....I had to cut mine to get axle off, so now I need some. I have emailed FRM will see how they do. Failing that, they're just bits of bent 3/8th bar with a 3/8 UNF thread on, I could make them at a pinch. In stainless if needs be.

Ford Escort ones, are ever so slightly bigger, the holes will have to be drilled out and the U bolts will need bending in slightly to fit.
