    My Build Diary

    Hi Guys,

I've finally pulled together all my photos and updates from other forums and built a dedicated site for my Sportster build.

If you're interested, you can find it at:

    http://www.greatoldone.co.uk

    Cheers,

    Jason (GOO)

    Latest update here:

    http://www.greatoldone.co.uk/Site/Build_Diary/Entries/2009/6/1_Tubthumpin.html

    I've been fitting the bodywork.

Also - my silencers and wing stays arrived today, so all I'm waiting for from Marlin now is my bonnet catches and bumpers.

Updated the site with the latest instalment:

        http://www.greatoldone.co.uk/Site/Build_Diary/Entries/2009/7/5_Lights%2C_Camera%2C_Traction.html

I made a start on heat proofing the brake lines tonight - I emptied the system with my new toy (pneumatic brake bleeder - Hooks up to a compressor and sucks the fluid through - it's brill! ) and replaced the weeping low pressure res / feed hoses with some of the blue stuff from CBS. I've sleeved that with some of their temp protect sleeving, and have started on the high pressure hoses to to the brakes.

I've also made some clamps up that go around the master cylinder, on to which an aluminium heat shield will go. No pics yet, as I was told to put my toys away and come in for dinner.

Well, as you can tell from the video on the blog, the pig plague didn't keep me down for long (yep, been there, done that, had the Tamiflu)

          Here's the latest:

I've done some more wiring, and built a centre console and sorted out the dashboard since last time:

I think it looks pretty smart!

              Re: My Build Diary

I've not had time to update the blog... So here's a link to the latest on the madabout kit-car forum:

              http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/forum/showpost.php?p=16983&postcount=129

I may have to book a test at this rate! Well - as soon as I get my bumpers from Marlin!

Looks like you are well on the way to getting it on the road. I think you could do with updating your blog so its nearer the top. Hope to see you at Stoneleigh with it finished
                Regards Liz

Thanks Liz - I feel as if I can see light at the end of the tunnel now. :-)

If only Marlin would get my bloody bumpers made and sorted. I only ordered them back in FEBRUARY... :-(
