  • roadster weight

Hi to one and all. My roadster, "Dixie" is due for her MOT and when I booked her in at a local test station I was asked to provide her weight. Now having owned Dixie for almost twelve months this is the first test I've put her through, I have checked the V5 only to find her weight is not shown. Could anyone provid me with an approximate weight of a roadster before thursday the 7th. kind regards Dave

    Re: roadster weight

    Hi Dave,
Why not take it to your nearest weigh bridge.
Not only will you get an accurate all up weight
you will also get a receipt with the reg number on, all for around £5.00

I endorse that. With all the different running gear and finishing there will be a wide difference. With its 2ltr DOHC EFi engine my Sierra based one weighed in at 850kgs yet on previous threads I have seen figures of 750kgs
(I must live in an expensive neck of the woods - they charged me £11 to use the weighbridge recently - they charged me nothing to do the Roadster however - as they were all over it when I took it in)
