Mine might be a bit drastic but im thinking of building it into the dash.

My best solution so far is to stick it the face of the least used dial, That being the Tacho.

I use mine in two different cars so it's in and out of both of them. I stick mine low down in the middle if the windscreen and the cable dangles neatly to the left into the passenger footwell. I just pop it off if I stop and leave the car any where and have a neat little carry bag that lurks in the footwell.

If you stick it to the screen on a roadster tie a safety cord to it as when it comes unstuck it may go overboard across the top of the dash. Be careful with the gauge faces as they are very thin glass.
