I used a Roadster to travel 15 miles each way to and from work for a few years (summer and winter). The car didm't give many problems but I found a basic radio (50p from a school jumble sale) made traffic jams more bearable.
A good coat and well fitting tonneau cover will mean you can use it with the hood down for a lot of the year and mot have to put the hood up when parking.
