    Calling Chris of Towcester

Chris, did you ever succeed in fitting the Marina flywheel/clutch and back-plate to the 1275cc Maestro engine? I meant to ask you ages ago as it is something I am contemplating.

The other way to do this is to fit the Maestro head and manifold to a 1275 marina A plus engine. The later mini cooper injection heads and injection should also fit.

Yes, good ideas. My only reason for suggesting the Maestro engine as a starting point is the fact that they were made up to about 12 years ago and would have suffered less abuse to threads, fuel pump internals, camshaft bearings and all sorts of other moving parts. Perhaps Chris of Towcester is no longer a member. Any other comments welcome.
