      I see what you mean Jon.mmm. I am mounting the filler on the rear deck just above the height of the spare wheel. A short 90 bend of flex hose joins to the remnants of the escort filler neck, (drilled with a return pipe for breathing purposes when filling). I attach a pic from one in the process of being built in the YKC factory but my cap is much higher - what do you think?

        Yes that should be fine. Keep the bend radius in the filler pipe as large as possible. There is nothing more tedious than spending ages trying to fill the car with fuel because the fuel pumps auto shut off means you have to trickle it in.

          Cameron - if you are interested I still have the mould I used for my bonnet bump. I can take it to the Hereford meet this weekend if you or someone you know is going

            Thanks Keith but it looks like the plenum will just fit under the bonet. the romero has a rounder bonnet than the traditional roadster adn I guess this is why! Wont be able to get to hereford this weekend as I have work on
            next task is to make a battery tray and a surge/swirl pot
