OK have been doing well with the help of Austin with regards fitting my Metro Manifold and HIF6 Carb. Where do I take off the brake servo vacuum hose. Picture attached. There is a union on the top of the manifold, is it that. I am not sure what was meant by 'needing to be plumbed in? Can someone please enlighten me. Many thanks Adrian

Re: Brake servo vacuum hose
MMM Having looked at David Vizards bible I find that I have the standard Metro manifold hence no plumbing. So that just leaves the Servo Pipe which I hope will be the union on top of the manifold, can someone confirm please? Adrian

Re: Brake servo vacuum hose
From memory of a Metro some years ago the vacuum connection is the banjo connection on top of the manifold. This pipe then runs to a Y piece one side going to the Servo and an Anti run on valve.
The Anti run on valve is useful these days with lower octane fuels, doing just what it says, by opening and reducing inlet vacuum, therfore stopping the carb from sucking in more fuel.

Re: Brake servo vacuum hose
Hi Adrian,
The brake servo pipe is a banjo union and pre-formed tube which attaches to the plug on the top centre of the manifold, - see photo's.
These photo's also attached to your first post to me.
