    insurance

has anyone managed to get the advertised 'Owners club member' discount out of Adrian Flux? if not why are we still allowing the add? after the last few years i have now moved to MR Bloor, who offered full comp cover with lots of extras for £50 less than Flux wanted to renew a TPFT policy!
has anybody got any other thaughts. Merv (roadster in Boston)

Merv, The same thing happened to me 2 years ago, and like you I went MR Bloor no problems with renewal this year either.

Does anyone know a company that'll do cover on a monthly basis?

Bloor will let you pay by monthly instalments if you want. I have not asked them for short period insurance though. Must be worth giving them a ring - they are very friendly.

Sureterm Direct will cover on a short term basis if required. I have been with them for 2 years after 6yrs with Flux bun fight every year to get a good price.

Almost ready to get the car back on the road.
Just phoned Backford Bloor for a quote - £113.83 fully comp. 5000 limited mileage.
Checked with Flux who I am currently insured with while the car is SORN - £302.84 !!
Mentioned the Bloor quote and Flux came back with £113.40 for the remaining 8 months until my insurance is due again.
No prizes for guessing that Mr Bloor might soon have a new client.

Totally off the wall as I needed insurance on a Saturday morning to collect my Roadster, I got Comprehensive at £124.21 with 5,000 miles per year and £100 excess from Gavin at Gott & Wynne, Llandudno, tel 01492 870991
