I was told once that they were being sold by the original manufacturer.

It's an interesting point though that over the past 10 years there has been incredibly little price increase in club goods, have a look in back issues of Pitstop and see.

Is it therefore the case that we the members were being overcharged in 1999 or is it time that the committee reviewed the price of club goods to reflect the past 10 years inflation, and prices charged by the competition?

Presumably it is worth the traders time to advertise on ebay, perhaps the club could undercut them on ebay themselves.

Either way, if questions are being asked by the committee, isn't it time to do some early Christmas shopping for those dreamt of items before a dreaded price increase.

Its a marketing ploy so you then divert yourself to buy the value for money ones from the Marlin club, and it not a fact they were to expensive in 1999 its just that they are to cheap now or as you would say value for money, so get buying from Liz so she can have a turkey for xmas.
