FACEBOOK QUESTION ??

I was invited to be a friend on Facebook which I am NOT enrolled and dont want to be. Attached to that email invitation was 6 names and pics of people I know from this club and not known to the person who invited me.
How did Facebook connect me with the names?
How do I contact Facebook without signing up?

It maybe somebody sent you an invite who is already a member.

I could understand maybe one name or pos two but not six. As far as Iam aware none of those persons have ever asked me to be a friend on Facebook this is the first time I have ever been asked,
I dont like it!

Ben, As far as I am aware Face book Email invitations only contain a random list of photos from people on the "inviter's" friends or "friends of friends" list. I would recommend contacting the inviter and get them to investigate.

Hi Cris, No the faces attached to the original invite were definitely people I know from the MOC club. I contacted the inviter and they have now decided to cancel their facebook membership. I managed to put a comment on the users page which was acknowledged but they dont reply to individual emails. It feels like someone is watching me!!

Ben, if someone has mutual friends, they all show. Maybe it was that. I have 6 mutual MOC friends.......

Depending on your email service Facebook can interrogate your address book and will therefore match email addresses in your book with registered users of Facebook. Gmail is the biggest culprit for this.
