does anyone know why you can't buy flat coach paints in tins? They will only supply metallic paints in tins and flat paint in aerosols? They say it is new regulations that prevents them doing so. The cost of aerosols is of course more expensive as they come in 300ml lots as against 500ml in in tins for much the same or less price.

Hi Mike,
I don't know why Halfords choose not to stock flat coach paints but smithandallan.com of Darlington, County Durham can supply Ameron Tekaloid T318 coach paint in tins and make up aerosols to any BS or RAL colour code.
They are also on Ebay as smith_and_allan.
