I hope many of you managed to get out at the weekend and enjoy the sun.
We went out for a recce for the Derbys route and things were going fine until Doug changed gear and there was a nasty metal sort of noise. He said I've lost drive and we coasted into a car park. While I sat looking for my AA card, he found his boiler suit, workshop manual and starting looking for spares. While I went off to get sandwiches he started fiddling about and about 20 mins later had replaced the clutch cable with spare. The cable must have broken strand by strand and has no rust on it. Its been on about five years. I really was impressed by the speedy repair and that everything was in the car. Also it broke at a suitable place and I wasn't driving it!
