  • Romero Julietta bonnet hinges

Unlike most Marlins, our bonnets are hinged at the back and open in a traditional way. This is good for engine access but not as pretty as the central bonnet piano hinge. Anyway, I didint have hinges in my kit so made some from drawings supplied by Brian Wesby (cheers Brian). When finished I thought they were abit clunky and not very refined so set about making my own. I ended up taking a big shortcut when I looked at my sones saxo...pictures are on flikr http://www.flickr.com/photos/37267850(at)N08/ if you want to have alook and let me know what you think. They should work well as they will move the bonnet away from the scuttle rather than simply hingeing it straight up. Will let you know what happens when I bokt them in- that bit is a wee bit daunting as there is so much room for error :-)
(black hinge is standard red is modified saxo)
