Does anyone know where i could find a replacement bonnet or at worst a bonnet that is in good condition on the nearside.

Not that difficult to make surely? If not by you then a local fabricator should be able to make one no trouble.

Problem with an old used one is that the rivet holes for the centre hinge won't line up.

Hi Robert.
If you are looking for a new one go and talk to Mike Banks at D.M.A. Engineering in Exeter. They are a small sheet metal works in Marsh Barton and very helpful. They folded up the aluminium for the rain shields under the bonnet louvres on my Hunter. They also have a tool for puttting louvres in the bonnet if you need them. I think they are only open on weekdays.
