Triumph front turrets

Triumph front turrets have different part numbers ( herald gt6 spit etc) are there any physical differences to be considered or is it just academic.?

As far as I am aware, the only difference is the welded on engine mounts which you would probably end up cutting off anyway.

When I built my hybrid in 1985, I used Herald. After my 'incident' about 3 years ago, I rebuilt the front end with Spit turrets. In both cases, I cut off the welded on engine mounts.
