MARLIN BERLINETTA 2.0L 10-80

i am from Belgium, and like to buy a Marlin Berlinetta 2.0 l
this is the info of the Marlin:

First registrered on 10-1980.
Milage on meter 4750miles=7650KM.
1993cc Ford Engine 4-cylinder.
FULL Automatic transmission.
4-into-1 sports exhaust.
HARDTOP ROOF.
Softtop roof (not fitted).
Black leather interior.
Great fun to drive, reliable and surprisingly comfortable.
Nice in a straight line, superb around corners.
Road use only and allways garaged, predominantly dry used.
Alloy wheels.
English registration.
Correctly registered as a MARLIN BERLINETTA with date of first req of 10-1980.
Right hand drive.
Outside in EXCELLENT condition.
Inside leather seats are o.k. but dash needs some work and bottom needs some carpets on the floor, easy to do.
I dont know if the donorcar is Ford Cortina or triumph?

Hi, I have sent you an email, The Berlinetta used the Ford cortina mk3, mk4, mk5, models All models have similar suspension axle layouts. This was a one donor car with the exception of the petrol tank which was Ford escort van or estate rear wheel drive model. There were a very small number of Berlinettas produced using the Sierra running gear with independant rear and Marlin designed front suspension, but these are very rare as only 16 produced. The Berlinetta is not in production so there are no parts available from a manufacturer. Trim items can be produced to order from local trimmers or you can make them yourself.
Can I suggest that you join this club as there is a wealth of information available as well as help in finding parts etc etc.

Hi Guy, Having looked at the pictures I can now confirm that this is a Ford Cortina based Berlinetta. In fact I know the car, it has an early Borg warner auto box, and it reqs a complete interior refurb, everything carpets, dash, the lot. The car was sold at Newark 2009.
