    Front Wheel Camber

    Hi All

Is the front wheel camber set or can it be adjusted on the ford cabrio.

    Thanks
    Mike.

    Re: Front Wheel Camber

    Hi Mike
It is possible to put shims under the U-brackets which hold the fabricated wishbones to the chassis, but this will only achieve adjustment one way. I made some shims from thin galvanised steel, putting 2 slots in them to slip over the studs, thus avoiding the need to undo the nuts completely. If you also put a small right angle bend at the end it is easier to push them in or lever them out with a screwdriver. For road use you should aim to have the wheels vertical (check with a decorators plumbline), for track use a couple of degrees negative camber may be of benefit. If you are going to do this I advise buying a ratchet spanner with a flexible end, as the nuts are swines to get at with ordinary spanners.
    Have fun - Dave.
