  • Prototype/Roadster Steering

The Vitesse prototype has a extended ( welded) trach rod on the near side. I know some roadsters have an extension on their near side track rods.
Does anyone have a spare they don't want or has anyone fitted a wider rack with same length track rods?

    Re: Prototype/Roadster Steering

Hi Derek, Only the Mk2 hybrid used the 2" extender but some early Caterhams used a 1" extender at each end of the rack.I found out that unless you wind up the extender fully to make it as short as possible, then do the tracking adjustments from the right hand side. Otherwise it can cause quite a bit of bump steer. The problem is the column connection goes through the suspension tower and that limits the application.
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!
