Rear suspension.
I have just refitted the rear suspension on the special.
It now has new AVO coil-overs and they look OK.
I need to sort the hand brake and re-route the brake & petrol lines down the transmission tunnel

While your there check the little rivet is loose in the breather hole in thetop of the diff.

Hi Ben
Thanks for the words on the trackrod- I'm still looking at that.
My diff has a split pin in the hole. I think the only way to get it out, should I want to, is to take the diff out!!! then I could striaghten the bent ends and withdraw it from the hole.

That is correct thats what I was trying to describe.
It only needs to be loose in the hole to alloww the diff to breath and avoid pressure build up.You dont need to remove it.

Thanks Ben it is free so I am leaving well alone.
Just collected some Aluminium to remake the two floors as the original ply is passed its best. More pictures to follow. Just sent the carb bodies off to be drilled and reamed for new thottle spindle bushes. At least it should tickover now!
